AHCPCM205 – Fell small trees
This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to prepare for tree felling, fell small trees and complete felling operations where hazards have been assessed as low risk.
It applies to individuals who apply low risk work procedures and comply with worksite health and safety requirements when felling trees under general supervision, with limited autonomy or accountability.
This course covers the process of small tree felling and defines the standard required to:
- Prepare and properly maintain equipment
- Determine the tree felling conditions, direction of fall, safe fall zone, exclusion zone and escape route
- Use safe tree felling techniques
- Use safe tree removal techniques.
The nationally recognised qualification AHCPCM205 Fell small trees, is delivered under a third-party agreement by V.E.T. Centre (QLD) on behalf of All States Training RTO #32577.
All States Training RTO #32577 is the Registered Training Organisation that issues certification upon successful completion of this accredited course.
