AHCBIO203 – Inspect and clean machinery, tools and equipment to preserve biosecurity
This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to inspect and clean machinery, tools and other equipment, including vehicles, of material that may contribute to the spread of biosecurity threats.
It applies to individuals working in a broad range of job contexts who undertake defined routine activities under supervision. They exercise limited autonomy within established and well known parameters, providing solutions to a limited range of predictable problems.
The course covers:
- Company specific weed hygiene procedures (if in place)
- State government legislation
- Introduction to potential contaminants
- Weed identification skills, covering restricted invasive plants and common weeds
- Potential contamination points on vehicles, machinery and equipment
- Inspection and clean down procedures
- Safety procedures
- Equipment to assist in inspection and cleaning
- Practical clean down and inspection exercises conducted in the field.
The nationally recognised qualification AHCBIO203 Inspect and clean machinery, tools and equipment to preserve biosecurity, is delivered under a third-party agreement by V.E.T. Centre (QLD) on behalf of All States Training RTO #32577.
All States Training RTO #32577 is the Registered Training Organisation that issues certification upon successful completion of the accredited course.
