AHCMOM217 – Operate quad bikes
This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to safely operate quad bikes including undertaking pre-start checks and shut down procedures. It applies to individuals who operate quad bikes to undertake routine work under general supervision with limited autonomy and accountability.
The course covers:
- Performing routine pre-operational checks and maintenance
- Matching, attaching and operating equipment as described in the manufacturer’s operator manual
- Recognising and controlling hazards and risks
- Safely operating quad bikes in a range of weather and terrain conditions
- Safely unloading, loading and securing quad bikes
- Monitoring and maintaining vehicle records.
The nationally recognised qualification AHCMOM217 Operate quad bikes, is delivered under a third-party agreement by V.E.T. Centre (QLD) on behalf of All States Training RTO #32577.
All States Training RTO #32577 is the Registered Training Organisation that issues certification upon successful completion of the accredited course.
